Z-Boat by Suzanne Robb

★★★★★-We all live on a zombie submarine…

Being a fan of the zombie genre, I can be quite skeptical when I pick up a new zombie book. Many say the genre has been overdone, that it’s washed up & boring, and that there’s nothing new that can be brought ot the table. Suzanne Robb’s Z-Boat defies the naysayers. I’ve seen it said that the first part of the book is slow going, and it is, BUT, Suzanne focuses on the development of her characters & their agendas. Set in a world where we as human beings, follow through with the almost complete destruction of our planet, she is able to address, quite covertly mind you, the issues of pollution, global warming and the like. Her zombies are not your typical slow moving, dumb as a stump zombies, they actually seem to have some intelligence & are a force to be reckoned with. The book overall is very well done, and a great read for any zombie enthusiast, even a semi-skeptical one like myself.
